2016 Auction Items Preview
Cindy Coles original Betsy Bay kayak.
After many other owners since Cindy had it, her kayak has come home to Delmarva. Over the years there had been several modifications and paint jobs applied. We've stripped it down to the wood and fiberglass hull. Then reconditioned, rebuilt, and upgraded it. We'd hoped to match the original mahogany wood deck, but it came out darker. And maybe prettier. It will be ready for Delmarva. Still being finished it will have a two part primer and paint on the hull and a multilayer varnished deck. Full seakayak deck rigging and the origial style Beckson hathes. Rich with history this kayak will service some lucky buyer for many years.
Ed Lamon III's custom Ulu
An ulu (Inuktitut syllabics: ᐅᓗ, plural: uluit) is an all-purpose knife traditionally used by Inuit, Yup'ik and Aleut women.
Well that's what the dictionary says, but Ed makes a beautiful ulu and I know at least one male that will be bidding on them. Maybe two as Christmas is coming.
